The "Blonde Ambition"

A yellow wedding motive is not necessary the most common pick traditionally but of late this blonde ambition has grown in popularity stateside and the "yellow fever" is quickly spreading across wedding continents. Yellow is reminiscent of the rays of sunshine on a summer day, the joyful glow of a child's smile and also a spread of wild daffodils melting into a sea of gold and green. It's Fun-tastic, warm, rich yet mellow; a palette that works well in any and every season. Cue Beach Boys' "Seasons in the Sun"!!

When designing a yellow wedding theme, the most common flowers that are used are yellow roses. But in actuality there are quite a number of other choices for fresh "blonde" flowers in our country,  they are:

Lilies
Calla lilies
Gerberas
Marigolds
Dasies
Cymbidiums
Orchids
Freesia
Aster
Anthuriums
Tulips
Chrysathemums
Gladiolus
Hliconia
Sunflower

My personal favorites are Carnations and Hyacinthus simply because they carry with them a paler yellow complexion which are rarer and more exotic compared to the usual suspects above. They also work well with our ultra popular Shabby-Chic wedding theme (FE's current pride and joy)!

Combination of yellow with other bright colours like pink, cream and orange are fine but to bring out the it's full canary potential a pairing with black or navy blue does the job immaculately. If you have decided to "Go Yellow" with your main color scheme for your wedding dinner, check out some past "blonde" projects created by Favors Essence below. Cue Coldplay BGM...
